Irene Cho is an independent film producer and entertainment media consultant with a strong background in publicity, international marketing,
non-profit management and public relations. Irene relocated to Park City, UT in 2003 to work for the Sundance
Institute where she oversaw the Festival Press Office for the annual Sundance Film Festival as Media Relations Manager and acted as Publicity
Manager for the Sundance Institute and all it's year-round programs including the annual Sundance Feature Film Lab, Screenwriters Lab, Theatre
Lab, Documentary Lab, Composers/Film Music Lab, and Producers Conference until 2009.
Prior to moving to Utah, Irene was based in Los Angeles,
CA where she worked as a publicist specializing in International Theatrical Marketing and Publicity at Dreamworks SKG. Since 2010, Irene has
served on the Board of Directors of the Park City Film Series as its President and Board Chair. Irene produced, LET ME OUT (2012), a Korean
language, coming of age zombie melodrama directed by Chang Lae Kim and Jae Soh. She is the creator of THE DAILY BUZZ WITH EUGENE HERNANDEZ
(co-founder of INDIEWIRE) and produces this show in partnership with the Film Society Lincoln Center. This daily podcast brings the latest
news and hot topics from festivals to listeners across the country featuring, in-depth conversations with leading international filmmakers
and talent and is available on iTunes. Currently, she is working on an adaptation of Puccini’s Opera, TURANDOT and is in development on
this project with a Beijing based production company.
